Floor Jansen is a Dutch singer, songwriter and vocal performer best known as the lead vocalist of the Finnish symphonic-metal band Nightwish. Born on 21 February 1981 in Goirle, the Netherlands, she developed an interest in music and performing while still young. Her formal training included studies at the Rock Academy in Tilburg, followed by work in musical theatre and opera.
